Grape Agate Cage Earrings

46.00

These gemstone earrings are handcrafted from sterling silver and a pair of natural (raw and uncut), grape agates. Each little sphere is trapped in a triangular pyramid shaped cage that has been hand constructed and soldered from sterling silver wire.

Grape agate (also called grape chalcedony) is found in botryoidal, globe-like formations. Single "grapes" or "bots" like these are a bit harder to find, as they normally grow in clusters.

Each earring is approximately 2.5 cm long from the top of the ear wire. The sterling silver has been oxidized and brush polished to give the metal a rustic patina.
