Grape Agate Cage Necklace

44.00

This necklace is handcrafted from sterling silver and a natural (raw and uncut) piece of grape agate. This purple stone is trapped in a triangular pyramid shaped cage that has been hand constructed and soldered from sterling silver wire.

Grape agate (also called grape chalcedony) is formed in botryoidal bunches, hence their name. This crystal is formed with two "bots" or "grapes" on top of one another.

The pendant is about 2 cm, and the chain is 18 inches long (about 46 cm). The sterling silver has been oxidized and brush polished to give the metal a rustic patina. Little silver beads are added at the end of the chain on either end.
