This handcrafted necklace is my way of putting a whimsical spin on ancient Egyptian scarab jewelry and designs. Instead of a winged scarab, this necklace features a trilobite fossil accented by labradorite with a pair of clearwing moth wings.

This type of moth is also called the hummingbird moth and is a type of hawkmoth. It is often confused with hummingbirds as it also pollinates flowers and moves very similarly.

All of the metal used in this piece is sterling silver.
