This locket is made in brush-finished sterling silver and features a piece of Leland blue.
Leland blue is a type of slag glass that is found specifically around Leland, Michigan. It is a byproduct of the iron smelting industry in that area around the late 1800’s and is found washed up on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The locket clasping mechanism is a tension fit between the inner ring of silver and the backplate. It ships with a 18” inch sterling silver chain.
