These gemstone earrings are handcrafted from sterling silver and a pair of natural (raw and uncut), grape agates. Each little sphere is trapped in a triangular pyramid shaped cage that has been hand constructed and soldered from sterling silver wire.
Grape agate (also called grape chalcedony) is found in botryoidal, globe-like formations. Single "grapes" or "bots" like these are a bit harder to find, as they normally grow in clusters.
Size & Length:
Each earring is approximately 2.5 cm long from the top of the lever back (1.5cm drops). The sterling silver has been oxidized and brush polished to give the metal a rustic patina.
