Designed for pin-style ball vises and engraving blocks, these 3D printed holding pins will keep your work secure without damaging the metal.
These invaluable accessories come in different shapes and sizes to secure many different types of work with endless combination possibilities.

I first created these holding pins for my own work and made them available to purchase once I realized how much of a help they were to me.

Specifications:

- Inserted Pin Diameter: ~3.4mm (3.3-3.5 mm due to 3D print tolerances)

- Material: Bio-sourced PLA Plastic

- Fits most standard engraving blocks and ball vises. Measure before ordering.

- Known Compatible Vises: SFC Tools Engraving Block (26-220), GRS Standard Blocks*

- NOT compatible with universal work holder tools

Non-Marring & Non-Corrosive:

As opposed to standard steel accessories, these pins will not scratch, damage, and indent your metal if used properly.

The pieces do not need to be oiled or stored in airtight containers as they will not rust.

Tips:

• Do not over-tighten. Over-tightening will cause breakage and is a sign that a different shape combination or placement on the vise jaws is needed. When correctly selected and positioned, a light tension should be adequate to create a firm hold on your workpiece.

• If the holding pins still aren’t doing the trick, don’t force it! This product will not be right for every piece, and you may need to try an alternative method of holding your work.

• If you snap a pin from over-tightening, do not flip your vise over to shake out the remnant: simply insert a safety pin, thumb tack, or other similar pointed needle into the piece and lift.
